BIOGRAPHY
A Toronto born artist whose roots go back to the old downtown
core of the city. Raised around the College- Spadina area, she captures
the pulse, feeling and vitality of the inhabitants with honesty and simplicity.
With sketch book and camera, she searches out the kind of people who become
subjects for her sculptures and paintings, believing in the beauty and
dignity of each human being, regardless of their so called "position in
life".
EDUCATION
Graduated Ontario College of Art as a mature student - 1988,
awarded Scholarship. Studied painting and figure drawing for many years
at Northern Secondary School, Central Technical School, Artists Workshop.
Studied etching for 3 years with Telesfor Valius. Studied sculpture for
many years with Wynn Lawrence, Vladamir Rosenzweig. Presently painting
in oils and watercolours. Working in brick plant doing relief brick sculptures
for buildings and homes.
