BIOGRAPHY
The haunting howl of the lone wolf as it breaks the icy stillness of
a northern forest; the proud polar bear as he stands surveying his frozen domain;
the ethereal beauty of a fragile songbird as it lights upon a delicate woodland
flower. These are a few of the vignettes of nature captured in the original
paintings of Beth Hoselton.
At 29 years of age Beth Hoselton is quickly gaining a reputation
as a prominent Canadian wildlife artist, whose works are highly prized by
both private and corporate clients. In her ten years as a professional
artist, Beth has been privileged to have sold over 300 of her original works
across North America and Internationally.
Beth has the ability to capture both the might and majesty of nature's
unending glories. At the same time, she brings a vibrant life to the
smallest of nature's creatures with both passion and intricacy. She works
in a variety of media to highlight the fascinating symphony of nature that
exists all around us. By extensively researching her subject matter,
including field work and reference material, she is able to transport you
to where the lustre of a wolf's fur or the gnarl of a tree seems so real,
you feel as if you are a part of the scene. "I'm constantly striving
to capture both the love and respect I have for nature in my work", says
the artist. Beth has used her time and talent to raise not only monies
for various charitable organizations, but also public awareness for the
causes that matter most to her, such as the Algonquin Wolf Fund. Beth
learned at the knee of her late father, renowned sculptor Carl Hoselton,
that the beauty in the natural world all around us is a gift which we must
always cherish.
