Janet Coulson, a native of Aylmer, Ontario, is now living in
Napanee. She graduated from Queen's University with a B.A. in 1962.
From 1977 to 1980, she studied wheel throwing and glaze calculation at
Loyalist College, Belleville. She attended a summer course at Sheridan
College in 1980 entitled "Ceramic Processes" with Franklin Heisler.
At the Haliburton School of Fine Arts, she studied sculpture with Dzintars
Mezullis and bas reliefs with Richard Gill. George Brown College
added to her knowledge with workshops in Design. She studied sculpture
at St. Lawrence College with David Perkins and Richard Buff. At Sheridan
College summer-school course she studied with Susan Low Beer and has done
several workshops with Susan since.

You may have seen her work in the Pottery Shop, The Guild Shop,
and Adapt Gallery in Toronto, as well as a gallery in Stratford, Ontario.
Janet has moved from pottery to sculpture. At the moment
she is most interested in the human form and likes to record her impressions
in clay.
