Linda's family moved to Canada in 1966 and she has lived and worked on many farms in the Orangeville area. The sights and scenes of this rustic community are an inspiration for her landscape paintings.
"I have learned through trial and error what works for me and what doesn't. Experimenting with colors, materials and techniques I have gradually evolved a personal style that reflects my way of looking at the world.
Lately I have been concentrating on large scale floral paintings as a way of expressing my personal feelings about colour, pattern and movement."
Selected images from Linda's portfolio are to be released in 2001 as open edition prints, published by Artful Creations in Toronto, Canada.
Linda' work has recently been featured in a video called "Fall Colour Tours" which has been aired on commercial and public television stations in Ontario.
A newly published North Lights book on "How to Paint in Watersoluble
Oils" features some of Linda's recent work and a summary of her working
methods.
