BIOGRAPHY
Robert was born near Cologne, Germany and came to Canada at
the age of 19 as a cabinet maker. He first arrived in Kingston and
later moved to Northern Ontario where he started painting in oil.
He eventually moved back to Kingston to work at Dupont Inc. in textiles
while still pursuing his painting.
With the encouragement from his wife he has painted full time
since 1988. Robert is a versatile, fine artist who works in
pen and ink, watercolour, and oil. For many years he painted
abstract and semi-abstract and non-objective art. He is now
focusing painting in realism namely city scapes, landscapes, and still-lifes.
He is a self taught artist and has to date over 100 solo and
group art exhibitions. There are collectors of his art in Canada,
U.S.A. and Europe (private and public collectors).
