BIOGRAPHY

Born 1956 Toronto, Ontario.

Terry Ananny is a full-time painter currently living in Ottawa, Ontario. The many trips Ananny took as a child from Ontario to Quebec and her three children’s joyful experiences of childhood serve as inspiration for her work.  Terry Ananny received her early education in Toronto at Meisterschaft College and in 1975 moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University.  In 1989 Terry Ananny joined the Ottawa Art Association and participated in numerous juried exhibitions winning many awards for her acrylic paintings.

Terry Ananny's works consist of brightly colored paintings of children at play in the great Canadian outdoors which cheerfully recapture the unique magical moments of childhood.  Her works are held in over 250 Canadian and international corporate collections. Canada’s Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and the Government of Canada have collected her work over the last decade. Her work is seen on UNICEF cards, Canada Save the Children cards, Children’s Wish Foundation Cards, Christmas cards, book and CD covers. Her work has been submitted for a Canadian postage stamp and Canadian coin.
